SLUG Magazine presents the 8th Annual Summer of Death - The Ghettolympics on Saturday, July 19th in the Big Deluxe Parking Lot.
SALT LAKE CITY, June 30, 2008 - No, that's not the Chariots of Fire that you're hearing, it's the inspiring sounds of the first Summer Of Death contest for 2008 from SLUG Mag. The Torch will be lit on Saturday, July 19th at 3 p.m. Although SLUG Mag will not be performing tests for performance enhancing drugs before or during the event, we strongly suggest you stay off the juice for this one.
The Ghettolympics will feature events like the hippie high jump, the triple jump, synchronize skating and the quest to see who has the longest power slide. The course set up was designed and built by our Summer of Death planning crew.
The Ghettolympics is presented by SLUG Magazine and sponsored by ABZ Enterprises, Salty Peaks, Red Bull, Union, SkateUtah.com, Broken Boardshop, Grinders, Autumn Garage, Blindside, Green Danksquad, Zotes Sunflower Seeds, The Truth, Sevenfold and Milo.
